I used to do the Friday roundup series a while ago. And then when I had to move my blog from an old domain to a new one, due to amount of work involved in moving and as well as with the launch of Guest Blogging Champion, I stopped the series altogether.
I’ve now started it again! Hope you’ll like it.
This re-launch of the series incorporates two changes:
1. The series is renamed - Problogging Success Weekend Read, and
2. The topics of roundup won’t be the same for all weeks. I will be changing them dynamically depending on what’s hot and interesting that week.
Lets get to it.
This week, as the title says, is about content marketing (my favorite topic all time), general blogging, SEO and the Facebook Timeline.
I’m sure most of you will be very interested with the SEO topic following Google’s recent changes.

As to the timeline for pages, yup I surely love it, except some limitations - like the removal of like-gating, for instance.

There are probably many other ways in which content marketing will fit right in with the Timeline; only time will tell. However for now, at least there are a few key wins for those brands that up until now, haven’t been sure enough of Timeline to make the big switch
Gritt, I’m not so active about making the serious timeline switch. For one, I’m busy but also I’d like to watch a bit.

What exactly do you mean by content marketing - yo’re not talking about blog network stuff like BuildMyRank, are you? That all got shut down with the recent Panda update. I lost a ton of traffic, even though my articles on that network were completely legitiamte and informative to readers. Still, the spammers caused Google to de-index the whole thing. What do you recommend people do to counteract the effects of Panda now that it’s cutting into ranking for even honest site ownders?

I’m going to have to disagree with Matt - I think the FB timeline can be great for branding your company. It tells teh stories of personal users’ lives, and it can tell the stories of businesses’ success and attributes. Who wouldn’t want to get that kind of message out?
