October had been a very busy month. Time flied like anything and I was busy with other things than blogging. However I got some guest posts to keep things moving. Learned so much on this month that I could use for my blog, for good.

I am happy to learn that I have put some extra hard work this month on blogging, compared to the previous month. How was October for you?

Here are some of the hand-picked cool articles of October, 2010. Check them out if you haven’t already done so.

1. Why do some men have commitment issues? Getting committed in a relationship is a new phase or a transition. Your relationship is taken to the next level when you get committed with the guy or the girl. But this is also a crucial step for you to make the right decision, otherwise lots of problems arise and you have to spend significant amount of time, energy and money in solving those issues.

2. Why is reader engagement important for a blog? Reader engagement is one of the most important aspects that every blogger would love to achieve. No matter how many times you appear on search results, no matter if you are on #1 position, if a reader chooses to click the back button upon landing on your site that makes no point. So what does this mean ultimately? Your blog is not what the reader was looking for (even though your blog has appeared in the result of what the reader was looking for!).

3. 6 reasons why you should write a love letter Writing a love letter is a quite old method of communication isn’t? We, in this world of technological advances express everything in short. For instance, blogging which is a recent form of communication has evolved to microblogging, tweeting and so on. We prefer to send instant messages instead of writing emails. We are busy we don’t have time to write a comprehensive essay or a letter. We want things to be communicated in the shortest form possible.

4. Do you know these unconventional tips for time management? Have you killed enough time on the internet reading about time management? And do all those hundreds of articles say the same thing again and again? While all those conventional tips do work, there are some really important things, that are not talked so much about, but are still highly crucial.

5. How to stop Yahoo! Answers from hacking your productivity? I agree that Y! Answers is indeed a very good source of information and also helps one to get different perspectives on a single problem/question. It is just good, but use it with caution! Don’t get fired.

6. How to improve Alexa ranking of your website or blog? Alexa ranking is one of the golden rules that decide a website’s worth in terms of traffic. It gives every site a rank; unlike the Google pagerank, for the Alexa rank, the lesser the better. The #1 site on Alexa’s list is Google! Well, if your site has a decent Alexa rank then it will be well respected on the web. Especially for advertising profits, Alexa rank is one of the factors that decide the price of the ad space in a website.
