Email marketing is very useful to build traffic to your site. Well, apart from the other things you use your list for, you can also use your email list to drive traffic to your blog. Surprisingly most bloggers forget this aspect.
You will be able to update your audience about the release of a new post on your blog. In fact, email promotion is a great way to keep your audience informed about the events happening on your site.
You can promote your blog as a brand and retain your customer base in the long run. Above all, this is a one time set up. You can set it up and forget about it.
Your email autoresponder service (like Aweber or GetResponse) will automatically notify your subscribers! A quick word about the email autoresponders to choose - well you can choose ANY of them. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. But from my experience I’ve found Aweber to be the best in this aspect.
Don’t forget to read my thoughts on Aweber in these two posts:
Aweber is one of the most trustworthy software to cater your list building and branding measures. With the improved scheduling options on Aweber, bloggers will be able to send newsletters to their subscribers with more ease and more control than ever before.
Aweber’s prominence
Most of the bloggers are happily tied up with Aweber to take care of their email campaigns. As per the aspirations of the majority users of Aweber, the broadcast tool has been enhanced to make it more powerful.
The improvised scheduling options will give you a pleasant experience not only to you but also to your subscribers as they will get the most appropriate stuff in right time and in right quantity.
Scheduling RSS to email in Aweber
Scheduling of email newsletter has undergone changes to accommodate Aweber users’ aspirations. You will be able to schedule mails to a specific day of the week or a specific date of the month. You can also set the time that you prefer to raise a notification mail.
How to set up RSS to email blog broadcast in Aweber
You can set up a blog broadcast by following the steps mentioned below:
First, you should select the Messages Tab. Click on the ‘Create New Blog Broadcast’ to start the process. Second, enter the RSS feed URL of your blog in the first field.
You should also select the required template from the available drop down list. Before selecting the template, you can go through the preview of each template.
After choosing a template of your choice, you can click on ‘Load Template’ button. Third, you can select the time of day that you want to schedule the email newsletter.
If the time is immaterial to you, you can set it ‘Immediately’. You should select the trigger point for the generation of a new email. You can select the option box based on the ‘number of new items’ or ‘specific weekday or date of the month’.
If you do not have your choice, you can select ‘Send Automatically’. You should uncheck ‘Send Automatically’ if you wish to review your mails manually which will reflect on ‘Broadcast’ page under such scenario.
Fourth, you should save the Blog Broadcast to confirm your new selections. As soon the confirmation is applied, new emails will be generated and processed accordingly. Fifth, before logging out of the application, you are required to test the broadcast that you had just created as per your requirement.
You can find the pending broadcasts which are queued for your confirmation. If you sense something wrong, you can delete the broadcast as well. Here is the video tutorial of setting up automatic blog broadcast in Aweber Please pardon the poor quality of the video!

GetResponse, now-a-days is trying to outshine Aweber by providing more features. Check their blog..you will see some xtra features than Aweber
Yup I’m a fan of GetResponse too. In fact I use both Aweber and Getresponse!
That’s really great news if you have used both GetResponse and Aweber and you are comfortable in both these email marketing services.
So, have you used both these services on this same blog or using currently or you have used both randomly?

This is a great tutorial. Actually, I’m just new to this blogging hobby. I’ve learned so many important tips in this site. Before, I thought email marketing is like a spamming technique. Now, I know what it is. BTW, I’m interested with Awever. Thanks a ton!
I would say not to single out one choice only…..
Use others as well so as to be able to optimize your time…..
For example: Getresponse is offering even more features than Aweber……….
Certainly I will check it. This time I manually do rss submission to directories that allow it. Thanks
