My fellow bloggers have definitely heard a few famous sayings in their own sweet time. Particularly, something along the lines of this; “the best things in life are always free.”
So what even if they’re just wholesale tote bags, just giving away free stuff will generate new traffic and also rattle your existing supporters. Moreover, you will also get a chance to give your blog a makeover of sorts. Read on for more.
Now many might think that why would somebody even refer to such a douche idea (no offence to the sensitive!). However, it is not just what the saying, well, says, but what exactly is the implication of the same.
Bloggers follow the implication and start giving away free stuff to your readers. The Price? Traffic, silly!
Decisions and interactions
Even if you are fairly not interested or simply do not engage much in gossip, you have to admit that gossip has certain positive sides as well.
Transfer that same logic and think: your contests or something similar will give your readers, existing and potential a point to talk about. This will in turn give a fair chance for not only interactions, but also a good deal of feedback.
What you have to work out dear bloggers is exactly how to go about the task. You will have to give away some stuff or the other. However, making it somewhat both an uphill task and yet somehow interesting will certainly hook everybody involved.
Mission planting
Your first concern should be to decide what exactly to give away. Your blog might be unique and will automatically give you plenty of space to indulge in. Or, you could always rely on products, if you either own or are in some manner related to a product based company.
Seriously, it does not have to be very expensive or handy either. All of us appreciate the ‘free’ things in life, as long as it is not broken or something harmful of course.
If the idea of tote bags do not appeal and you are one of those thoughtful kinds, a goodie bag is just your call. Nothing works quite as well as people getting to open a neat little ribbon or something.
Gift vouchers or food coupons are always appreciated too. You can also give away certificates for stores and such, whatever suits your purpose.
Playing hard to get
Do not make the mistake of making it too easy for your readers to win, dear bloggers. After all, who appreciates anything which comes without some amount of tomfoolery?
Some people (read nerds), have known to buy fake items from some superhero movies or whatever. Some even participate in lesser known auctions for things which serve absolutely no purpose. So, why not play a bit with your readers as well?
For starters, promote your contest or game and above all, your idea of sweepstakes, well. This will surely intrigue your readers and drive them to tell their friends and all.
Being a blogger, crafting a custom made post for promotion should really come easy to your. Use your manipulative edge mate!
Use social network sites. Though most claim that such sites are ridiculous, they nevertheless share and post links, which should serve your purpose well. Make your readers dance by asking them to help in promoting stuff as well.
Your thoughts? I’d love to hear them!

I like the idea of sweepstakes or free giveaways
which definitely work
Most of bloggers have a lethargy to share content so running some contests on our blogs brings more activity.
But before that you should be more careful about what you are giving to your winners
Nice share Raj
Contests and giveaways are excellent ways to build relationships with our readers. They’re a nice way to keep the audience engaged but I think it shouldn’t be the end-all and be-all of blogging. It’s a nice way to get over writer’s blocks or publishing slumps.
Still at the end of the day, it’s still about adding value to the web. If we can answer a searcher’s question, make someone’s day better or just make the Internet a better place to be in – then success surely isn’t slow to follow.
Otherwise, what’s the point?

Hey there are using WordPress for your site platform?
I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to
get started and create my own. Do you require any html coding knowledge to make
your own blog? Any help would be really appreciated!
I knew one thing so well till when any body will not try to improve their blog popularity he/she can’t achieve success in that and for that there are lot of ways on the web which can give you perfect direction to popular your blog in front of others in less time.

I agree with the fact that you need to give free stuff way but I also have to say that in todays world you cannot just give away some PLR ebook or a report with old info.
Subscribers and readers want new and latest info like case studies, step by step reports or videos. General information is not received as well as it used to be in the past.
I have also noticed that if your free content is good it usually reduce the unsubscribe rate. Nice btw and I agree with the other points as well.
Giving away free stuff from your blog in return from your readers should be taken by more bloggers.
I myself haven’t done enough free sweepstakes for my blog, and sure need to ramp that up!
Thanks for the article.

I have tried to think of promotions for some of my sites but haven’t really sat down and developed a plan. Promotion is a great way to increase sales and your list. I wouldn’t want to do too much and take away from the theme of the site, but just enough to stir some interest.
One thing I do believe in strongly is that in order to really resonate with your audience and make them feel as if to you it’s about more than just getting them to buy your products or services.
I have learnt very early on that if you over-deliver with every chance you get, you will not only make them see that in you but you might actually get more sales the day when you do have a product or service to offer them.
A freebie is the perfect way to establish this trust and ideal relationship. Unfortunately some people are only in it for the free stuff and the moment you don’t have something they can get for free they will pack their bags but those don’t matter to you anyway.
The ones that stick around even when you don’t have a freebie, those are the people you want to walk the walk with.
I think it’s a necessity and I also think updating your freebie once in a while is good practice. After running a specific freebie for a couple of months, either create or find a new one; keep it interesting and you’ll keep your audience engaged.
Good article!
Well this is best thing in blogging which i’ve loved to organize “Giveaway”. The most working methods which not only generates traffic but also creates some loyal readers to our blog. As you’ve mentioned in the post about the giveaway tips “Do not make the mistake of making it too easy for your readers to win” yeah i agree with your words always make it hard to win it.
But at the same time i’ve also consider that we must choose more winners rather than 1 or 2. This would be the sign of increasing readers. Example of providing the Ebooks to all readers would also do.
Thanks for the nice crunchy article.
Some great ideas, Raj. I agree that giving away some free items should definitely get persons interested in your blog and I also think that engaging readers more would lead to success. Cheers.
As a web design and hosting company, we had the idea to do a sweepstakes with a grand prize of a free design and hosting for 6 months. We didn’t go through with it at the time for business reasons, but it’s something we have in our back pockets just in case.
Giving out freebies is always a great idea to keep our readers engaged, this is a much-needed investment that we must never hesitate to make for the sake of acquiring the recognition we need. Thanks for the informative read.
The price for blogging with all your heart is traffic generation. The more you make your blog more interesting and reader-worthy, youll even get more fans

Now a days getting fans for any blog is not an easy task, may be it is due to the competition in the blogging market. Some say content is important others pressure on the SEO.
In order to generate leads and solicit the recognition we want, there’s no better way to do it faster than hosting a contest
A little investment really does go a long way. Thanks for sharing!
Holding contests online is one of the ways to attract readers. Might I say, good luck to your future posts!
Give everything your best like striking the best first impression to your readers. That would be a very good start
