Premium Commentluv Plugin: Is It Really Worth The Salt?

Premium-Commentluv-Plugin

Premium Commentluv plugin - There’s much hype about it all over the place. You know that already.

Some of you are really excited about its arrival and expect the launch date to buy the premium plugin right away.

However some others ask me “Why the hype?”, “Why is everyone promoting this plugin?”, “Is it worth the money?”, “I’m so happy with the free version, why buy the premium Commentluv?” and so on.

Well this post is just for you, if you’re in the second category.

I am sure that more than 90% of the bloggers who use the default WordPress commenting system are using Commentluv plugin. The others, of course, are not using it.

Even though there are quite a few awesome bloggers/blogs I follow who don’t use Commentluv, I still stand on my decision that “I’m not switching over to any other commenting systems like Livefyre, Intensedebate, Disqus, Facebook comments, whatsoever”!

Here’s a post if you’re in the dilemma about choosing or leaving the WordPress default commenting system

Native Vs Non-Native Commenting Systems: Scratching Your Head Eh?

Now, back to focus, if you’re already using free Commentluv, kudos and you’re smart. You’d be so happy and satisfied with what commentluv offers, because that’s a lot for a free plugin.

Now, if Andy (the Commentluv guy) is giving such awesome features for a free plugin, did you ever imagine how much you’d get if you’re paying for the same? That’s the premium Commentluv plugin.

You can check out all the features of the premium Commentluv plugin at this post:

Commentluv Premium Plugin Review: A Complete Insight On The Features

Now, in this post, I would like to honestly tell you if you really want to spend your money on premium Commentluv. I can say that because I’ve used the premium Commentluv plugin for a few weeks now and have seen what it does for commenters on my own blog and what it does to me when I comment on other blogs.

What does Premium Commentluv do for my commenters

Since I’m having premium Commentluv, I can make sure that my blog’s commenters are “treated” good.

My Commenters get keyword anchored link back

This is just the feature of the famous Keywordluv plugin. Instead of putting the keyword in the name field that makes the commenter look like a spammer, this awesome feature of premium Commentluv lets the commenter put the name as well as the keyword separated by the @ symbol, so that the link in the “website” field is anchored to the keyword.

For instance if I leave Jane@Problogging Success in the name field and put “http://www.probloggingsuccess.com” in the website field, the comment will appear as Jane from Problogging Success says…… with “Problogging Success” linked to my blog.

This very feature is very viral now-a-days among commenters. And, most commenters come and comment on my blog by searching for this specific feature (like using the terms “keywordluv enabled”, keyword enabled,” this blog uses keyword”, “YourName@YourKeyword” etc.).

My commenters (you) are not the ones among spammers!

But I must admit that with the awesome SEO feature of keyword anchored links, there comes along a multitude of spammers as well. Don’t panic! Premium Commentluv takes care of that as well.

It has the famous plugin GASP (Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin) integrated into it.

This means that with premium Commentluv, I can keep more than 95% of the spammers right off the fence and I can make my commenters feel special.

I know how it feels to be one of the commenters among the other spammers. It feels so bad.

At the same time, I don’t have to put my genuine commenters into a serious test of captchas or invisible codes. Everyone just have to tick a checkbox. That simple.

My Commenters can brand themselves with their comment

If someone puts their mouse pointer over the premium commentluv heart icon there comes a nice popup with … oh well, see the two screenshots below!

Premium Commentluv User Gets Branded Comments ….

My Commenters can promote their Twitter profile

This feature is also integrated into premium Commentluv, and there is a field where commenters can put their twitter username. The link is clickable and leads to their Twitter profile. That is so much exposure and helps increase in the following.

OK what does Premium Commentluv do for me?

I’ve been so far talking about what my commenters get if I have premium Commentluv. Well, there’s got to be something in there for me too, right?

Since I’m not just a blogger, but a commenter too (indeed love blog commenting and am following a blog commenting strategy) I get all those benefits because I am a proud premium Commentluv user.

My Commentluv Profile as seen on other blogs

Plus, here are a couple of awesome features I love!

Not just 5 recent posts, but favorite pages

In the bio that comes up when someone puts the mouse pointer over your commentluv link, there usually comes up 5 posts under “Some of my other posts” (see image above).

You can make those 5 posts to be any of your 5 favorite pages as well. If you have a squeeze page, a product review page, a category park page or your service page, you can choose to display those pages (5 pages) by adding them to your favorites.

Social enticement with premium Commentluv

I can choose whom to give the option to choose from one of the last 10 posts. I can give that option to those who tweet my post, share my post on Facebook, give me a plus one and so on.

Premium Commentluv’s social integration is awesome and a less intrusive way to get more social shares/exposure.

Takeaway

I conclude that premium Commentluv plugin is indeed worth the salt. If you want to be a successful problogger, premium Commentluv is one of those plugins that gives you the right push.

With so many awesome features, I am sure that this premium Commentluv plugin should not be missed.

I m in a dilemma, should I really go for Commentluv Premium plugin..?

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

That’s what I’ve written the post for :)

      • Crescent

I’m guessing this blog post uses premium comment luv or is it using the free version?

    • http://gadgetstip.com aatif

I think you should go for premium commentluv . Heard a lot about it and this post is so good to understant it ..

  • Harleena Singh

    Hi Jane,

As soon as I heard about the early bird pre-sale offer, I had signed up, and am waiting anxiously for the launch now. Your post sure explains all its benefits, though I wonder what do we have to do to register to your site, as it shows the message that we are not registered when we hover the mouse over the link. Also, on other blogs I am able to get the advantage of choosing one link from the 10 that show up after commenting more than three times, though here it does not- so please do let me know how or where the problem lies.

    Thanks for sharing :)

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Harleena I’m so happy that you took this decision. In terms of backlinks, exposure and branding, you will get a lot out of the plugin as a freelancer and as a blogger.

  • http://adriennesmith.net Adrienne

Great review Jane, I’m loving this plug-in as well.

As more and more plug-ins will be released over time you know others will be enticed to use them which can slow down the load time as well. I love that Andy has included seven plug-ins all into one which has saved us a lot of heartache along the way.

That’s just one benefit and you nicely explained all the others. I’m excited about this upcoming launch and can’t wait to see how many people will be anxious to purchase it as well.

    Appreciate this honest review.

    Adrienne

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Adrienne, thanks for that. Sure the multi-plugin integration is a genius feature which is highly efficient for us bloggers.

  • http://prontohotel.com Andrew Walker

I’m still using the standard free one. I don’t think I’m ready for the premium just yet.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Andrew, you say that you’re not ready “yet” which means you plan to buy it some time later. But the plugin is open for sale now for just 7 days for a ridiculously low price. When the sale is closed and when the plugin comes back after 3 or 4 weeks, you will be paying very high to buy it.

So I’d suggest you to make a decision before the plugin is taken down this time :)

  • jewel

I learned a lot to this post..I can use this and it help a lot..Thanks for sharing the good idea..

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

You are very welcome jewel (is that your name?).

  • http://www.dialme.com/blog/ Ray

Seems like there are quite a few blog sites talking about commentluv premium lately. It seems like a nice idea with a bunch of features all in one. I will be waiting to see what the price ends up being. If the price is reasonable enough it should do well.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Ray sure let me know how it goes if you make a purchase :)

  • Easther

I am not sure that I like to pay for something I used to get for free, but then again, thanks to your post here I am convinced that it is definitely WORTH the salt. :D

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

I’m so glad that you’re convinced Easther. But yes, the decision is totally up to you :) Thanks for your comment.

  • http://hotblogtips.com/ Brian D. Hawkins

I haven’t really experienced the full benefits of CommentLuv Premium yet and I’m already luving it ;)

It was a breeze to install and has worked perfectly for me. Andy has really outdone himself with this plugin.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

You’re so right Brian and the great part is that, even though the plugin bundles many features in it, I don’t see any damage on the site loading times or user experience :) Isn’t that great?

      • http://hotblogtips.com/ Brian D. Hawkins

Now that I’ve been using CommentLuv Premium for a while, if someone said I had to get rid of plugins, that would be the last to go. It’s just incredible how much Andy has put into this plugin. It’s absolutely worth the salt. It’s like a cell phone, once you’ve started using it, you can’t really see yourself going without it.

  • Andri Droid Specs

I am still searching and learning the ideas behind this plugins, your review give me explanations… thanks for the ideas

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Andri, glad that I could be of help :)

  • http://seommotips.com Suresh Khanal

    Hi Jane,

    Nice featuring Premium CommentLuv Plugin.

I will definitely buy this plugin. Still there are always some confusions whenever I heard about it for the first time.

Andy (he is awesome, no doubt) bundled some of his plugin and made it premium. Apart from socialize feature all others are already there though you need to install multiple plugins. Now I’m afraid what would be the price when early bird is priced at $20. Don’t you think the price is bit higher to what its adds to your blog?

Andy is awesome with his marketing strategy. He not only used affiliates but selected best 20 bloggers to review and write about the plugin. This has created really lovely buzz (I won’t call it Hype) over the blogosphere.

Now, should I buy this plugin for $20? I will definitely buy this plugin as soon as it is released. I loved commentLuv ever since it was introduced and I started blogging. I can’t afford staying free if Andy stop updating the free version.

Andy is very helpful guy and I’m always grateful to him for fixing jQuery Gallary of my theme. I understand he is a strong programmar and knows WordPress very well. I can’t ignore something he has created.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Suresh, well said! Andy’s marketing strategy is so great. He recruited beta testers and made them brand ambassadors (yours truly included). And you’re so right about Andy’s programming and WP knowledge.

Have you bought the plugin yet? It’s up for sale for a very limited time for a ridiculously low price. Let me know how it goes :)

  • http://www.extremejohn.com Extreme John

I love the premium commentluv plugin too. I’ve always been so into commentluv ever since and the feature that helps us prevent spammers is just awesome. No wonder why a lot of bloggers and blog commenters are so addicted to commenluv. It does not only promote our blogs and ourselves but it builds great camaraderie as well. Thanks for sharing the updates Jane. You’re great as always.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Hey John, I’m sure no blogger can miss this. The plugin gives a great opportunity to build relationship, backlinks and increase exposure (and much more actually). What’s your take on buying the premium version?

  • Saksham

I guess yes, Premium Comluv is something I am looking forward at! It’s blessed with so many useful features that will surely improve your blogs social media sharing count and even attract hell lot of readers!

    Nice review Jane! :)

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Saksham, I’m glad that you’re looking forward to its release. It’s up for sale now (for a period of only 5 more days, as of today) on a ridiculously low price. Make sure you buy it before the sale closes and you won’t be able to buy it until it is released again (may be in 3-4 weeks on a much higher price!) :)

  • Dysfunctional Parrot

What I fear is that this will be priced out of the hands of casual bloggers. $20 is reasonable. $40 is “meh”. But a regular price of $97 and up? No way you can justify that. Not when other equally proven systems such as Disqus or Intense Debate are free.

Yes, I use CommentLuv and it is a great plug in. But it is not indispensable, no matter what hype says to the contrary.

Again, just my opinion. Commentluv is a great plug-in, but I’m talking business here. :)

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Hey I totally understand. Coz the word “affordable” is so relative. It depends from person to person and business to business. What may appear affordable to me may not be affordable to you. Even to me, what I feel affordable now, was not affordable a year ago :) “Relativity!” LOL>

  • http://blog.xtream-dev.com/ Nawaz

Comment Luv premium is a great gift and it have nearly 5 plug-ins embedded in one name. It has option of no follow as well as do follow.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

You’re right Nawaz. The plugin rocks.

  • Faissal Alhaithami

If i haven’t got my copy of the commentLuv premium I’ll be sure to get my copy NOW.
I think commentluv is just an awesome plug-in that help to promote our posts in different ways!! Getting backlinks and social shares to name few.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

I hope you got it now Faissal! How does it go?

  • Chris

I admit, Premium Commentluv is a plus for every serious blogger, but it’s not something necessary. You can blog without it just fine, so the decision comes to the money, do you have it and want to spend it for something better, or invest them into something else, since the free plugin works just fine as it is.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

You’re absolutely right Chris. Of course if one blogs without commentluv premium they’ll be just fine minus the awesome features and the easy exposure/branding stuff. If they invest that is certainly worthy enuff :) Thanks for your comment.

  • Employee Monitor

Hello, I am not a blogger and therefore I don’t use this plugin, but I saw many bloggers who do, and it really clears the comment section, and makes it more personal. I hope most of your readers took the preview sales chance and are not waiting for the next wave with higher prices. It was a great contribution writing this post, and informing your readers about this opportunity. Keep up the good work. All the best, Leonard Evenson

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Hey Leo, I’m so glad you found the information useful. Thanks for stopping by :)

  • http://www.doitwithwp.com Dave Clements

I’m still on the fence about whether to get the Premium version. The standard version works pretty well as it is, so it’s hard for me to justify spending money on something which isn’t broken. I’m sure I’ll cave in eventually ;)

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

You can dive in for the next grand launch Dave, and I’m gonna run a giveaway of the premium plugin pretty soon. So make sure you stay tuned!

      • http://www.doitwithwp.com Dave Clements

Ooooh, well I certainly don’t mind getting it for free. I’ll be watching!

  • http://www.dragonblogger.com Justin Germino

If you like the free version of CommentLuv don’t wait jump on the premium version, the 6 plugins in one is just amazing. It is efficient and does a great job at rewarding commenters who are bloggers or affiliate marketers. It will bring comments and definitely does work.

GASP isn’t foolproof however, and I still get about 5-10 spam comments that make it into my moderation queue with GASP. Mostly this is when people hide keywords/links into the comment itself. I think there should be an option in the GASP module to strip out hyperlinks from comments, or at least remove the link when embedded in comments so that the text is there if you want to visit but the hyperlink is removed.

    • http://www.probloggingsuccess.com/ Jane Sheeba

Justin, what you say about GASP is right. I too get about 5-10 everyday. I’ll let Andy know about this and he’ll put his magic hand over the settings to do something awesome!

  • http://www.techcrates.com Salman

All the features of CommentLuv Premium are awesome and main feature is that spammers are not allowed and your regular commenters feel special themselves.

I love CommentLuv Premium and would honestly never use another commenting system. The way it handles spam and provides incentive for people to comment is simply awesome. Compared with a blog that has the nofollow average commenting system, CommentLuv Premium rocks :)

  • NaturalHealthMagazine

    @Scott
Totally agree! CommentLuv is really a great commenting system. I haven’t come across anything that could match its prowess.

  • DPaul Walters

    Hi Jane,

I have the free version and will be getting the pro soon (wish list payday). Didn’t know about the keyword function - I’m kinda liking that!! Excellent review…

  • Acey

Good job, this plugin really works, I’ve tested it in some blog and it is great!

  • http://problogz.com/Post813415-Buyer-Profiling-And-Creating-Niche.htm Emre Ilkme

Commentluv is a great utility. I am thinking of actually buying the premium package. Creating links is everything because it raises traffic, Google rank and chance to become successful in general by a huge amount.

  • Jamie

The premium option of plugins and software like this is almost always worth it, and commentluv is no exception. If you find you like the features of the free version, why not pay the developers for their hard work? You’ll be rewarded with updates and, generally, a superior product. I think commentluv - especially this new version - is genius.

  • http://www.womendietpills.org Michael Weiss

commentluv is a great too in increasing your ranking and the traffic. Most commenter would love to create a comment in a website that has it because they could leave 2 comments at the same time. However, a blogger must be wise in approving comments that are just a junk or has no relation to the blog post.

  • Abhishek Khandelwal

I have used premium commentluv plugin on one of my blogs and its way better the other options available out there….the way it saves from spammers is simply amazing…

  • Shadab

I am using free CommentLuv plugin in my WordPress blog, but premium is really a good one. I will purchase it but in the near future.

  • John

CommentLuv Premium couldn’t have come at a better time! I was struggling to get rid of as many unneeded plugins as I could. With this one plugin, I was able to zap a few more from the rolls.

  • http://www.allvirtualhelp.com/ Purnima

    Hi Jane…
The advantages commentluv premium has over commentluv were new to me. After this benignant effort that you have put in the post I surely feel convinced to pay for commentluv premium. It certainly is beneficial for the Inside and also Outside of the blog. Its features like fighting the spam , providing an option of adding an anchor text to your links and providing an option to track clicks on your links is truly impactful …..
    Thanks for the salutary post

Just like any other blogger I do like commentluv, I find it friendly and even promising on generating traffics. If you want to distinguishably make a difference and optimize your link I highly suggest this plug-in. This feature can be greatly compared to a resource planner by which will promote your involvement on any field.

  • http://www.maleenhancementnow.org/ Trevor Jackson

I’d say it really worth the salt :) But I guess it very much depends on each blogger’s needs. All in all, I have nothing to complain about commentluvs, but on the contrary!

  • http://travelinsurancequotess.blogspot.com sumon

When the sale is closed and when the plugin comes back after 3 or 4 weeks, you will be paying very high to buy it.

Everyone is talking about this great plugin. Commentluv make us more simple for guest linking. It give some benefits like Twitter and Google button on page.I can say only this is excellent plugin.

This answered a lot of my questions. Not only do I have a few blog pages where I write about different aspects of my life (my little girl even blogs about out dog!), I too like to read other blogs and post comments.

I have been a big fan of CommentLuv but was not sure about Premium. Every time I see the tag (which I don’t see on yours), I think am I going to have to join Premium to comment on this blog? So can you answer that question for me. Can Non-PremuiumLuv bloggers still post on Premium blogs or do they get sent to the spam trash.

comment luv is worth every penny. I am so much in love with this plugin especially the premium that goes for $97 only. This plugin is powerful, interesting and useful.

Thanks for the heads up on CommentLuv, I actually didn’t know anything about it before reading a post a few minutes ago that was using it. Definitely going to check it out, hopefully all the links will help promote sites I have.
