If you are just launching your business, the time you spend might be divided equally between content development and finding a surefire way to rank higher in the SERP with added backlinks. Starting any new business can be challenging, and when you also need to be creative in your written material, it’s even more so.
However, because you already know that quality content is vital for optimum results, you don’t skimp on it. Putting forth the effort and time for engaging and informative material will pay off in the end. So, you step up to the challenge.
The inauguration stage of your marketing business will probably find you spending triple the time in the research phase, then the actual drafting phase. This is common for anyone who believes in quality. If you are not already doing this, you might want to change your strategy.
I think the ideal plan to have when you want quality content is to have a comprehensive outline before you even start the drafting. This outline should have as much information and facts that you can garner from reputable sources, as well as your own experience. Organizing this outline will help to organize your thoughts, which can only assist in achieving a well-written piece with a readable flow. When writing off the cuff, it typically shows. You can also use this outline to pinch more out of your content.
It doesn’t even matter what your product or service is, whether it would be a glass computer desk, scrapbooking, or mountain climbing. It will help you develop your best work.
Said in a different way…
Metamorphosing your existing content simply means to take your quality pieces and say it again, or to revise it with a new slant. A good example of this would be when I authored a piece on today’s article marketing. I don’t think it holds any value, and could actually be harmful to those wanting to succeed. It simply eats up your time, without delivering benefit in return. However, that message could be received differently between the various marketers.
Anyone just starting out could think of it as preemptive measures, or advice to stay away from it. On the other hand, people who have been at it a while might view it as defensive maneuver, or a way to recoup after the technique has been used.
While each piece would be concentrating on the same overall topic, the point of view could vary enough to market to different audiences. Either way, an outline will help greatly in achieving quality material.
How do I know this? I tested my own theory.
Gaining More out of the Hard Part
If you don’t know by now, I am passionately against today’s article marketing. Anyone who knows me can attest to that. Google even shares my opinion. Placing inferior material on sites that are low ranking, is just not a good business decision. There just isn’t any value in it for anyone, including those who reading your content.
So, I took this passion I had against today’s article marketing, and set forth in getting the word out. After three hours of research, gathering as much information as I could from Google, as well as my own experience, I had a great outline in hand, with over 3,000 words of detailed information. And, it all confirmed my original opinion.
Someone just starting out might see this as an opportunity for one great article…and, it is. However, I wanted more.
This master outline helped spawn two articles of high quality. One of these was over 1,900 words, while the other was nearing 3,700. While the subject matter was the same, the point of view in each of them varied to target different readers.
After completion, I published them on two separate, but reputable sites that accept content submitted by guests.
Watching the Perks Flood In
Following my articles submission to sites with a PR3 and a PR6, the traffic on my site grew substantially. I was able to utilize their high PR to reach a quality ranking in the SERP. I was also able to benefit from inserting anchor texts links within the content.
If you haven’t already, you really should consider submitting to high ranking sites that accept guest content. You will see an influx of traffic, and a jolt in your ranking.
I wasn’t ready to stop there. As a result of the extra traffic garnered from Google, the audience began tweeting my URL, increasing traffic yet again. AffiliateABCs.com noticed this abundance of attention, and it drew an invite from them for a podcast interview.
Next, GeekCast noticed how successful this interview was. Subsequently, they opted to rebroadcast this same interview on their site.
I now had 2 fresh pieces of material, plus 2 new podcasts in my pocket. Yet, I still wasn’t done. I then went to Elance.com to find a writer who could take my master outline to develop 3 additional, and unique articles. After I approved those, I searched for 3 more high ranking sites that would accept content from guests. The result was that the traffic on my site increased, yet again.
Knowing that guest writers are typically allowed 2 anchor text links per posting, I took full advantage of that. I had a total of 24 separate links on sites of PR3 or more, guiding traffic back to me. That traffic represented potential new customers, and quick way to rank my site.
And, all of this success stemmed from just 3 hours spent in research.
I had a specific crusade in mind of warning others of today’s article marketing, but this metamorphosing technique would work whether your subject matter is reviewing the best computer desk, recycling, or even move reviews.
This is Not a Masquerade for Article Marketing
The metamorphosing technique, or revising your existing content, is not article marketing. They are two completely different processes, with two completely different results.
Regarding the actual article, a 450 word SEO article that is ladled with keywords and lacking in substance is great for computer consumption. But, it’s horrible for humans, as they are difficult to read at times, and full of …nothing, actually. What I am talking about is a quality piece of 1,000+ well thought out words, put together to tell a story full of substance and information.
Revising your content is not even remotely the same as spinning. Spinning can be accomplished with software, but content cannot be diversified in point of views. It simply alters the words. Creativity is stifled with spinning, as well. With revision, as I am talking about, you are in control of the content and are able to change the view to target specific readers. You can make use of web copywriting resources that are available.
When it comes to distribution, there are software programs available that can submit your work to 200 to 500 ‘directories’, daily, and automatically. That might sound impressive to have that many backlinks submitted that quickly, but it really isn’t going to help you. Google has the ability to scan those links as identical, and realize they are coming from nothing but ‘content farms’ with no value.
You should fully take advantage of any of your newly revised material by submitting it to high ranking sites (PR3, or better), accepting guest content. While this might take a little effort, the payoff will be well worth it, as you can see by my own experience that I just shared with you. More blog traffic and a higher ranking in the SERP, all out of the same outline, can’t be beat.
I can’t emphasize enough that this is not the same as article marketing, nor are the results.
While this is my opinion, it is backed by results. I would love to hear what you think about it all. Please feel free to leave any comments or ideas in the comment box, located below.

This is what I really want, thanks. I like your blog very much, very well written content. Nice design. Awesome.
It takes a lot of time to write a quality article, so you want to submit it to a site that you will get the most out of it. Instead of submitting to mass article directories, spend some time researching industry sites and blogs that are looking for content.
It is a good idea to rewrite the best performing article and send it to article directories and in return you might get some visitors from them. In a similar way if you get the idea of best performing articles at other blog and you make them in unique way and post at your blog, you even might get better traffic.
Spinning of article is not considered excellent by the search engines as all search engines work on the principle of artificial intelligence.
I like the idea on how you were able to improve your ranking by just adding a twist to your previous article. At least you already know the topic and you have a precise outline in creating a new one. Other bloggers already shared this kind of strategy but not really all are doing it.
You’ve generally provided a great insight to write new and fresh articles. Thanks mate

Thanks for the new info. I feel I can really use it for my next article
I guess writing long articles would be easy if and only if you personally know the topic, otherwise, you’ll be running out of thoughts. Plus the fact that you’re not really after of the quantity of the article or you’re not too worried about your time.
