Google plus - Have you tried the new shiny Google+? It is one tantalizing social network that's keeping a great percent of the social crowd engaged. It is great for bloggers in many ways.

I must admit that I have got addicted. I played around it totally for about 2 full days (I mean doing nothing else) and found out some nice how-tos to share with my readers.

Why is the mass and myself jumping around about Google plus? It is all about how Google+ has differentiated it from Facebook. The difference is in terms of privacy, clean environment, easy of use, less clutter and more control. For the same reason many … [Read more...]

Google Plus Tutorial: How To Make Your Stay Pleasant And Useful

Google-Plus-Tutorial--How-To-Make-Your-Stay-Pleasant-And-Useful

OK now that I have had my hands enough on Google plus, I wish to share a tutorial or a guide to play with many things around in Google plus. I am also getting questions everyday from my friends asking the why's and how's of using it. This tutorial is all about how to use Google+.

So lets dive in.

Sending And Accepting Invitations

It could be seriously annoying when some of your friends are already jumping around with plus, and you are not able to get in. At the moment Google plus is running in test mode and hence they are not allowing everybody to get in.

There is no "official" invite button yet. But you can still send an invitation by sharing something with your friend. This step assumes that you are already on plus, of course.

You can do this in two ways:

1. If you have lots of invites to send, you can first … [Read more...]

Google plus sparks feature

Google+ - I am sure that you would have had your hands on it by now. Or at least you would have experienced the plus wave.

You can read about it all over the internet and especially on blogs. You would have had numerous invites and notifications from some of your "lucky friends" who managed to get their hands on it before you.

There have been mixed opinions about it from people. Some like it to the extent that they are ready to dump Facebook, while some find it annoying and feel that Google is copying Facebook and trying to make a scene.

Well, what do I say is this: I love Google plus for many reasons. Before directly going into the topic of this post, let me tell you briefly about my opinion on plus overall.

What I like about plus? 1. Clean and pleasant look. As I have already told you on a different context, I … [Read more...]

Native Vs Non-native Commenting Systems: Scratching Your Head Eh?

Native-Vs-Non-native-Commenting-Systems

Comments are the ones that keeps a blog lively. A blog with active commenters is lively, busy, provokes thoughts and encourages conversations.

A blog without comments is ... well silent, and a monologue, where just the blogger speaks and everyone listens (or no one listens, perhaps).

Choosing a right commenting system maximizes the benefits of a particular blog. A proper commenting system is very important along with the appropriate software and the blogging platform itself.

The built-in native commenting system that comes with most blogging software like Word Press is the system of choice for the maximum number of users of such blogs.

Generally a non-native commenting system or third party system as it is often called, offers a wide variety of services that promise additional power and functionality, making it a strong … [Read more...]

14 Tips To Sell More Effectively in Less Time

If you are a small business/home based business owner, you need to sell your product or service to interested parties. Do not think that, being the owner, you need not get involved in sales as you have a marketing and sales team for that. Nothing can be far from the truth.

The reason is obvious. One person puts more effort in selling while the other can be a bit relaxed since whether or not he makes a sale, he will be paid for the month.

So this post will be for … [Read more...]

Keyword Research Guide: 4 Biggest Flaws You Should Avoid

Proper keyword research, they say, is the key to building

a successful blog. Yes, it is 100% true, and in my case I also believe that it is the fastest route that one can use - given that you know the ropes well.

So many bloggers put tons of hours, days and even weeks into the keyword research stage of building their blogs, and further go on to work hard at posting articles and promoting their new blogs built around their golden keyword. What if I told you that in 80% of the time you are bound to fail (beautifully, as a matter of fact) at taking your new super blog anywhere? Would it come as a surprise to you if your best days of blog traffic are the days you are able to pull in 5 visits; that is some four months long after publishing your blog live?
