This week I really had some great reads. I wish I can talk about ALL those wonderful posts I read throughout this week. But that is simply impossible. So I picked a very few of them for you.

1. Why should you comment at all?

Well, some still either ask this question explicitly or just think inside their heads that commenting on other blogs is simply waste of time. They ask to themselves: Why should I bother to read other blogs? Even if I read them to gain knowledge why should I bother to type a comment? Isn’t that a waste of time?

Well as an answer to those who are thinking in this direction and to encourage them to comment, I have written a guest post on Blog Engage. Be sure to check it out here - 5 reasons why you should start with blog commenting.

2. Wanna make some cool cash out of your guest posts?

If you are good at writing engaging guest posts and if you really want to make some money out of it, you have an excellent chance. Kiesha from We Blog Better is conducting a guest post contest.

I am proud to be one of the sponsors to this blogging contest. Read the official contest announcement post here

I call upon all bloggers to participate in this contest. It is going to be both fun and business.

3. 3 Black Holes neglected by newbie bloggers

I always have this thing for newbie bloggers. I always come up with ideas specialized for newbies. Since I was once a newbie, I just couldn’t keep that instinct. I still remember things that I neglected while I was a newbie and paid big prices. Read my guest post over at Technshare

Newbie bloggers beware: 3 black holes you neglect

4. Create Ebook covers for FREE

Stacy has written a wonderful tutorial about creating ebook covers. I know bloggers badly need this. Every blogger would write one (or more) ebooks in the course of their blogging career either to give it away for free or to make passive income by selling it.

So this one is really cool. You need to check out what Stacy’s telling you and she also explains the steps through creating a free ebook cover. She has used it to create her ebook covers, so you have a portfolio right there.

Check out her post: How to create an Ebook cover for free

5. Make it comfortable for your readers

Yes, Alex really gets it to the point- an issue which was bothering me for so long. Still can’t figure out how so many successful and growing bloggers don’t make it comfortable for their readers to share their content and make them interact.

You seriously should read this: 10 reasons why I won’t Tweet, share, comment, reply or even vaguely linger

6. Beware if you are too online

You enjoy staying connected online. Ya, it makes the world shrink to your palm and you talk with a person at the other end of the world in real time. That’s the brilliance of technology. But wait! You will face some serious consequences.

Read this post where Udegbunam highlights the bad effects: Top 8 disadvantages of staying permanently connected

7. The step-by-step blogging series

This is a wonderful series post (the link actually points to the last post in the series) which is a must read for every starter and growing blogger. Writing a series post is a great thing to do. Allie has done a great job by writing a 10 post series (10 being a very good number for a series). I especially direct you there because the series is not only packed with information but also with lots of useful resources.

Step by step blogging #10: The end of the series

8. How much do you charge for your services?

Brankica, the bold lady from Live Your Love has put up a great thought. I simply would direct you there, read her post and my comment too! Let me know what you think by commenting here.

Blogger oursourcing: Are you smaller than you estimate yourself?

9. What’s your point in having a blog?

Kesha encourages a very healthy thought, needed for today’s bloggers. Everyone starts a blog, but for what? Read this to know if you are clear about your goal in starting a blog.

So you have a blog, what’s your point?

10. My own contest entry:

If you haven’t already commented on my contest entry, please do so and support me to win. Comments, Tweets, FB shares and all sorts of promotion are highly appreciated on this post:

How well did you like these posts? I am sure these resources will be of great use to you.

Now while you click through all the links and check out what they have got to tell you, would you please comment here and let me know which one were your favourites and what you learned from this collection?

Hi Stacy,

Just now checked the link. It works, but loads a bit slow. Thanks for trying to check that out. I appreciate that.

May be you can try to see if it works now; it’s bit slow.

Jane-
Thank you for placing my post here! I really appreciate it!

My series, I hope, will help new bloggers! I write my blog not only for new bloggers or new to passive income but for myself. As I type and read and reread the concepts get hammered into my head.

I am planning so much more!

Thanks Again!

~Allie
PS. Good luck in the contest! I have done some to help but if you need more LMK.
